Mud-jacking and Stabilization

The soil under grain facilities and/or concrete slabs can settle unevenly. This can result in tilted structures or voids underneath structures. Often the foundation can be raised and realigned. In worst case scenarios, the foundation can be stabilized to prevent further settlement. This process is known as "mud-jacking".

Batterton Waterproofing, Inc. Mud-jacking and StabilizationIn the mud-jacking stabilization process, holes are drilled into the foundation or slab in various locations. A mixture of water, bentonite and cement is then pressure-pumped under the foundation through the drilled holes attempting to realign the structure to its original position. This same process can be used to fill voids behind walls, under hopper bottoms and concrete slabs.
